Prof. Jiachuan Yang is currently recruiting highly motivated Mphil/PhD students (2020 Spring/Fall) to join his group at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). HKUST is ranked #32 in the QS Global ranking and the School of Engineering is named #18 among world's top universities. Dr. Yang is an assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, his research interests include hydrometeorological modeling, land-atmosphere interaction, environmental fluid mechanics and energy-water-climate nexus , with special focus on the urban environment. He has published more than 25 publications in the past 5 years and received several research-related awards.

背景偏好：A Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric Science or related disciplines. Good background with
research experience in Fluid Mechanics or Climate Modeling is highly preferred . Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are required. Undergraduate GPA no less than 3.2 and basic skills in scientific writing. IELTS overall score > 6.5 or TOEFL-pBT > 550.
