Transcript: Applicants from CHINESE UNIVERSITIES: If you are admitted to the MS in Accounting program, you must submit certified copies (sealed and stamped by institutions) of all post-secondary transcripts, graduation certificates and degrees directly to the MSU Department to which they are admitted. MSU requires these documents in the original language (Chinese) as well as an official English translation. Effective Spring 2015, Michigan State University will require all incoming ADMITTED students pursuing degrees or who have earned degrees from universities in China to submit a verification report (English version) through the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC) for their final bachelor degree transcripts (大学成绩单) and bachelor degree (本科学位证书). For those Master degree granted student, we only need the undergraduate level verification report from CDGDC. Personal Statement: Student’s statement of objectives Recommendation Letter: Two letters of recommendation with at least one written by a faculty member in your major. Video Essay: Essay B is a video essay which provides an applicant the ability to demonstrate in their own words who they are as an applicant. In addition, the essay is interactive way to complete an essay in a relatively short period of time. Each applicant will complete one short video essay question with a two-minute response to the question. There is a practice question that will not be recorded and can be completed as many times to get comfortable with the format and technology. The practice question will be similar to the actual video essay question. The question response does not need to take the entire two minutes. If you have time remaining once complete click anywhere in the video box to end the recording. Please be concise with your response, the recording with automatically stop after two minutes. There will be an option to rerecord your response up to two times. Once the question is asked there will be a three-second delay to respond. The question will appear on the screen for reference. We estimate the video essays will take 20-25 minutes to complete—which includes time for setup and answering all the practice questions. And finally, remember to look at the camera, relax and be yourself.
